Please accept my apologies for the Salty Dogs/Lost confusion - I genuinely thought that was correct - I'm sure that's what someone said but hey - my recollection of 35 years ago is a bit hazy.

Still it was a bloody good do and tha band were great

Rest assured that LOST (got that right!) are top of my list of bands for (any) future does!

Sorry to butt in on this page (being a 60-67'er), but couldn't let your comment on the Salty Dogs pass that easy. They were a great bunch of guys and good musicians, but, it was us....."Lost" (aka Soul Edition, One Way System, and Scobie) who played the Ilkeston do.
My old primary school mate, and Salty Dog, Moz Moore was just guesting. He did lead vocal on the RnB classic Mustang Sally 'cause it was an old Salty Dog favourite.
The amazing fact was, all the original five members of "Lost" were there. Alan Robinson (Keyboards), Me (Bass), and Mick Court (Lead Guitar) bashed out the RnB, and Malc "Fred" Fox and Ray "Spike" Pyke (original rhythm guitar and drums) were on duty as crowd warmers!
It was great to play a Mundella do again! If you get your reunion together, and any of you remember us, drop me a line - any excuse for a gig is a good un!

I had a good old time at the Sept 2002 re-union even tho' it wasn't my 'set'

Met up with Tim Stevenson, Mick Byrne and Glenis Rayson (her friend Glynis Meakin was supposed to be there but didn't make it)

Teachers included Mr Jacobs (Jake - English) and Miss (Heather) Savage (French)

I've also had e-mails from Sue Needham, Linda Seeley, Barbara Jarvis and Tom Dignum

I need to contact Rod Brown and/or Malcolm Batchelor with some urgency if anyone has contact details

Oh yes and the Salty Dogs played some Booker T and other 60's stuff

63-70/72'ers - we must have our own do -- GET NETWORKING!!!

Hi - I just found this message board. I was at Mundella from 1963 - 1968 (Sue Needham). Am interested in the reunion planned for later this year. Have been in touch with Vera Fritchley, Kay Allen and Jackie Pollard recently. Can anyone let me know when and where the reunion will be?
Thanks,

Hi I'm Sue Fletcher and was in the 1965 5th form and left in 1967. I remember alot of the 1966 names like Fred Fox, Dave mosson, Baz Harwood, maureen Elston, elaine stainsby and would love to find out what happened to some of my contempories - Paul Smith, Dave Walters, marion rogers, frank ellis, Morris Moore and ann Crawford and lots of others whose faces I can see but names I've forgotten sorry! Anyone from my year going to the reunion or interested in one of our own. No, I'm not offering to arrange one!

You are most welcome at our reunion John. We are the 1959-64/66 year group and friends from neighbouring years. We already have lots of your year attending. I hope I can add you to our list which already exceeds 100. The date is 21.9.02 and the venue is The Royal Regency Rooms, Ilkeston. Email me for my address to send your £5 per person deposit.

As Cynthia has a gig organised for the late 50's early 60's inmates and Nigel Law is proposing a 'doo' for the 1964-70 reprobates, how about the 1963-68 mob get together for their 40th anniversary in 2003?
As I posted on this site in October 01 I would be interested and even willing to assist anyone who would like to get the ball rolling.
I only got 3 responses last year, lets try a little harder and see what we can achieve!!

Count me in - I'm in Nottingham (well nearly - Mucky Huckna' is only just outside the City boundary)

Does anyone know if there are any notable dates coming up - like anniversaries to hang it on - 40 years on isn't till Sept 2003 which is a long way in the future.

Pleased to hear from anyone I knew - I hope I remember you!

Yes I think it's a great idea! When, where?
Any ideas? I don't live in Nottingham now either but would be very keen to come to a reunion of our year. My sister still lives in the Nottingham area so may be able to suggest venues.

Could we generate any interest in a reunion get together for the mid 60's crowd i.e. 63-68/70, as Cynthia's gig is almost fully subscribed.
If no one else is interested in organising one I would be willing to co-ordinate things, although I don't live in Nottingham I can visit my family there.
Thanks to Cynthia for the web site help.
