Hello, I don't know if anybody remembers me because I can hardly remember being at Mundella. I do remember one of my peers was a lad called Alan Smith, I think I was trying to go out with his sister and I don't think the family approved because I was from Ethel Grove near Wilford Road in the old meadows area. I do have some horrendous memories Mr Browning the history and religious education teacher, Miss Perry the French teacher.
I remember running round and round the football pitchs and along the embankment, we didn't half take a lot of X. X. X. X. I. left the school in 1971 which just about maize be eligible to be on this message board. I left the going to a school regime which was even harder than the one at the school. Because my father was in the army I ended up going to a military boarding school in Germany, it was so cold in winter that the sea would freeze! Anyhow, if you can remember me hello. If you don't know me you do not know what you had missed. Cheers.

Not many e-mails getting me to laugh out loud but Anon4now's memories did!
Thank you for that while I'm sitting here on a wet Sunday looking at our old school from my window wondering where all the years have gone?

'Johnny' Hodnett, Sternest Headmaster in the universe, (Darth Vader would have stood no chance!), Miss Leake (the first naturally occurring antidote to Viagra), Mrs Littlejohns in her 2" thick tweed twinsets and the permanent cloud of chalk dust that seemed to accompany her everywhere, Mr Jacobs, apparently terminally depressed teacher of English, John Chandler as Gary Glitter winning EVERY bloody Pop mime that he entered, Flowing waters, the caretakers alsation (white, I think), 'Chalky' White; RE Teacher, Rickie Sandford, looking far too much like a young elvis than could have been good for him, Lynsey Talbot and her short skirts, phwooar! Andy Berridge, I think of money there for some reason, Melvin Nethercott, a blonde guy who always seemed eager, not for anything in particular, just generally eager,'Wack' Walker; PE teacher and vicious sadist, Mrs Savage, french teacher, Mr Gardiner, also a french teacher, but a very dapper man; I used to suspect that on his days off he stood in Burton's window, Mme Antanouris, yet another french teacher, what a lot of cunning linguists this school had! Rosie Scragg, Damn! she was scary, Oliver Wedderburn, little skinny guy absolutely FULL of energy, Wayne Lespeare Olly's mate a chubby, scowling black guy; Wayne invented Mr T before Mr T invented himself! Classrooms that were freezing in winter and as hot as hell in summer, Phil Dixon, Maths teacher extraordinary, he showed me how to understand algebra, Anthony 'Jewby' Smith & his buddy Phil Gunn who, at the time, were camper than Xmas, Steve Davis and his truly amazing ability to fart on demand, Jackie Thomson, phwooar! Mr Abbott, art teacher and all round nice guy, Kay Foster (I think), prefect and nice enough to lend me a fur coat for my one and only appearance as a womble (well, public appearance at any rate) thanks Kay, Joe Hallam, music teacher, he really didn't deserve 3g, all this was 28 years, approx 10 stones and a full head of hair ago and still the nightmares won't stop... Mundella School forever, may it successful be... the council weren't singing from that song sheet when they knocked it down were they? Bhupinder Singh, used to live near Canning Circus, nice guy as I remember, Neil (Rupert) Stocks, prefect, total bastard, Ah, memories. Does anyone else remember any of this? Or is it just my mind playing tricks on me. Dearie, Dearie me...
