42 years Telephone Engineer retired 1981
Now regular traveller and photographer, giving travel talks to many organisations.

Do you remember Joan Smith born 1921 and do you have any class photos from this time as she never had one and would like to see it? She lives in Leicestershire and has 4 children and 8 grandchildren

I was at school 1934-1939 leaving when school was evacuated to Gainsborough on outbreak of war. I joined RAF in 1941 flying as navigator with Bomber Command on Lancasters and gaining a D.F.C.

I entered teaching in 1948 via emergency training scheme and retired as headmaster of Sale Moor High School, Sale in 1988 after 21 years as head.
